B1 marks independent language use: you can cope with most everyday situations and talk about experiences and plans. It is a common requirement for jobs and vocational training.

Follow the gist of conversations and texts on familiar topics.
Cope with most situations while travelling.
Briefly explain experiences, plans and opinions.
Write a semi-formal email or a forum post.
